The fact is all manufactures recommend you change the first oil sooner then the regular change interval. So why would they use an oil that costs 2 to 3 times more. The reason some manufactures use synthetic for break-in is that; if you look at the list you will see that these are all VERY expensive or HP engines. It's in the manufactures best interest to use the better oil. Just like synthetic trans fluid, do you think the manufacture wants the best for YOU?
