first time maintinence question....

so i bought my 4runner about 2 months ago, and i am getting ready to put nuw spark plugs and wires,new oil,fuel filter so on, and i am going to order the wires and there is only 3? how does this work?

The 3.4 engine uses both coils and wires, the parts your looking at are correct. and the link below has alot of information for all the maintenance you want to do.

ok but how would i connect the wires? toyota dont have distributers?

there is only 3 wires and 6 cylinders....

There's three coils on one side of the engine the wires connect to the coils then go to the other side to the other spark plugs.

yeah i took a look at my car and yeah that is how it is, but the plugs ive found online only have one boot on the end of the wire? instead it should have a boot on all ends right?

No, the coils have boots and the wires have boots, 3 of each add up to 6. Take a better look under your hood!
