Fishin'

Did something I hardly ever find time to do. Cleared the calendar, ditched corporate America, threw the ol' ***** in the 4RNR (my almost 14 year-old Beagle-Golden mix...she's my mountain dog) and headed-up solo. Beautiful day up-high, had to break-in a new trout rig and fortunately they were hittin'.

Ought to be more days in life spent fishing... :fishing:

Obligatory pic of the ride, the dog and some of the daily catch.

Looks like you were using an ultralight or heck even a micro. Makes catching fish just that much better, thanks for sharing some beautiful country you live in!

That's awesome, nice looking fish. I haven't fished in so long, ever since taking up golf. We would fish trout all the time. When fall comes I'm gonna have to go upstate NY for some steelhead fishing

I've been in dire need of a fishing trip. Haven't gone in about 6 months, been to busy with work and buying/moving/upgrading a house. Its definitely on the agenda though. looks like a day well spent. :artist:

Met my old man up high for some trout today, friggin' hammered em'. Non-stop action, 10"-16", nice weight...we had a blast. No idea how many fish we landed between the two of us...tossed a lot of 14 and 15-inchers back in great health and sent my pop home with plenty for dinner. Good day for two old dogs.

Hell yeah Brian! Stoked to stumble across this. The runner is doing great by the way. Makes me smile everyday.

I'm actually terrible about taking photos of fish but here is my favorite trip ever. 4x4 trip in Colorado fishing for trout for 10 days, only camping and wheeling.

Did you get everything worked out in her? What happened with the trans? Update me man. It kills me to know.

Honestly, I did a filter and new fluid along with somemlucas conditioner and it's been way way better. It still does that jump from 1st into 2nd, but ONLY before the trans heats up. So basically a few miles then it's butter smooth. I took it out to our local park hidden falls last weekend and the thing blew my mind. Really capable rig that drove home no problem.

Still trying to source a PSC pump so I don't have to run a trail gear. Haven't had any luck. I just wanna update the pump and throw on some newer OME 861s or Superflexs to level it out a bit. Running the trans til it gives me more issues honestly.

Besides that, everything has been working perfectly. Just getting used to floaty 37's. Wanna dial in the steering slack in th rack and update the pump pretty much. Looking forward to more trips and wheelin. Hopefully make it up to Arkansas next year and shit. Probably Colorado in July.
