Looks great, I can't wait to get mine installed. They've just been sitting in my garage for months... mocking me every time I see them!
But, I want to wait until I need new tires to put them on.

They look awesome man! I have been looking for a set like these but I want to keep the 16" tires I just bought. Only issue I have with my original wheels is the paint is flaking in a few places. Do you have a suggestion where someone can order these wheels at a good price?

I got mine off craigslist. Can always try that, or eBay.
There's also a handful of websites that sell these rims for decent prices.

Since I went with one size up in tire as well, in terms of ride quality, I'd say it's pretty much the same!

I should make a quick side note:

Stay away from Black Magic Titanium Tire Gel!
That stuff is overly shiny. I actually tried wiping it off after applying it.
But the worst part is, how much product it slung all over my 4Runner. Even made it onto the front of the hood and rear hatch. Never again.

Ive been wanting the black TRD FJ wheels for a long time, you can always find silver ones but the black ones are a PITA to find.

I found a set of 5 on CL with low miles on the rubber for $400.00

I thought it was a pretty good deal.

I went from 15" steel to 17 aluminum. Drives much better.

FJ wheels with Nitto Trail Grapplers

Bought a set on CL for $300 and threw some 285/70/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers on.
What do you guys think?








Tires rub on the upper A-arms. I ordered some 1.5" hub-centric wheel spacers from All Pro Off-Road to eliminate the rubbing. Cant wait to get them on and put my awesome new wheels and tires on. Should give it a nice wide stance too.

looks good.

Be warned. Those spacers are going to cause your tires to rub your body when you turn, you WILL have to lift and trim if you don't want any rubbing.
