Sign up for the waiting list. A number of people that manage to register wind up not being able to make it for one reason or another and if you're on the waiting list you may get one of those spots. The organizers also hold back a certain number of spots until they get a feel for how many sponsors, vendors and special guests will be attending and at some point should release some of those spots to the folks on the waiting list.

Once registration fills up and you get the notice when attempting to register that registration is full it should give you the option of placing yourself on the waiting list. I've never actually done it but I assume that's the procedure since I've read many reports of folks in the past that have placed themselves on it and been successful at getting registered at a later date.

One of these year's they are going to have to change the name once there are more 4Runners there than FJs at the event.

There are numerous large events that take place all year long all over the US. Summit is much more family oriented and about the scenery not so much about wheeling (basically dirt roads). Ive been to a few other big events and they are more about wheeling and much more fun. The TTORA clubs/events are the best when it comes to just getting out and running trails.

What are my chances of getting registered if I'm on the wait list?
What was it like when you went to Ouray that weekend without being registered?
They can't close public streets, hotels, and trails. I've got 5 friends that got registered and I didn't. We have all paid for a cabin already. What to do?
