FJ to 4Runner on Long Island

New to this forum, used to own a 2011 FJ. 13 months, 13,000 miles. Since I had no problems mechanically with it, I opted for the 4Runner to better suit my needs (mainly 4 doors).

Being from NY, the most wheeling I got done with the FJ was on a few poorly maintained dirt roads. I'm not going to be crawling or mudding in the 4Runner, so the most I think I'll do is an affordable set of sliders, a decent bumper, and maybe better skids.

I look forward to being part of this board.

Welcome aboard!! I'm an FJ owner myself, and I'll be trading it in for a 4Runner Limited in the very near future. I just can't decide between mag gray metallic & classic silver metallic :bluejump:

Congrats on your addition. We have had our current 4Runner for almost 8 years now and love it. It is my wife's vehicle and will turn 100K within the next week or so. We have had no problems with it at all. Routine maintenance, which I am anal about, is all it has required. I purchased a 2012 FJ 2 months ago for me and am really enjoying it as well. Both will be in the fleet until the wheels fall off as both exceed all of our needs.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome. I had no problems with the FJ. It was a very reliable truck, that's what led to me getting the 4Runner. The doors and a few other features just didn't meet my needs.
