I just finished up putting in a single din android auto/apple cp stereo with floating screen. It's wider/rectangular aspect vs the square ones, so it fits perfect in the space.
The unit provides quite a bit of back/forward and up/down adjustment for the screen during install, so you can perfectly fine tune where it fits best.
Directly bolts to the factory radio brackets, and I opted to put it in the upper single din slot vs the lower. I left the lower slot empty, but you can't seen anything behind the screen anyways.
I also 3D printed some adapters to better help with the viewing angle.

The unit is nice, but a little quirky, due to it being a out of country brand.
I haven't used it too much since I don't drive the 4Runner daily, but after playing with the settings and making preferential adjustments, it works nicely. I just hope they provide updates to their software over time.
