I have a 2008 4Runner with 84000 miles on it. Do not use it for towing or drive on dirt roads. Been told that the ATF WS transmission fluid is lifetime,so I don't have to change it. What about the Hypoid APl GL5 gear oil for the transfer case, front/rear differential? Is that synthetic? When to change?

Nor sure what the climate you are in but here is my schedule:
I live in the hot desert southwest and I play off road often. That put me in the "special use" category. I perform every service as required including the special use applications. Every 30k I get OEM plugs, full synthetic Mobile-1 lubricants throughout.
:doh: I just realized my transmission has not been done! This sucks! Don't know why, but I thought the tranny was due at 90 or 100K. Im need to look into this immediately. I hope this thing isn't a sealed unit that has one of those odd dealer only filling methods like my Dodge SRT8.

Toyota ATF-WS is NOT lifetime, its been covered a lot so I'm not going to go into my usual rant about it, replace it around 90k~100k under normal conditions. Toyota doesn't show a specific mileage to replace the diff and transfer case fluids, but we normally recommend it at the 90k "Major Service."
