Finally got it all together today. Had a friend at Toyota mount and balance them on my '15 Trail Edition.

FN Six Shooters
4 new Toyota TPMS sensors
Gorilla chrome lugs... courtesy of FN wheels
4 new Toyo Open Country AT ll 265 70 17 tires

The Toyota mechanic commented on how great the wheels looked, balanced easily, and how light the entire assembly was

My hat's off to Dustin @ FN wheels. Pictures do not do this rig justice! Runs down the highway smooth and straight!!

Looks GREAT! I've had the same experience with mine AND dealing with Justin (the guy's so great to deal with). People always complementing the wheels.

Toyo Open Country AT are the best set of tires I've put on my Tacoma, I'm on my 3rd set

I didn’t know Dustin was going to offer that finish with the new version of that wheel. I have the first generation design, like mmurphy77. I really like the cleaner looking center caps on yours.

I think our wheels are the same, except for the center caps. Mine are the TRD versions purchased seperately. Like these..

My set is from the original mold that was discontinued a bit over two years ago.
They take a different end cap and are not Flow Formed. I got a great deal on them, though!

You are part of an exclusive club here, having non-black/gunmetal/bronze finish wheels. :high5:

Yeah, the black, and darker colors seem to lose the detail of the wheel.

I guess I'm just "old school," and like a bit of shine. Besides, I like to be different!
 
they look great. Especially with the TRD center caps.

nice choice. These are on my short list now. Definitely going to buy from Dustin at FN though, that much is certain.
 
I love the machined finish.

I hate the current fad of black wheels.

Does the FN Countersteer Type X come machined finish too?
 
Hmm, I appreciate they are not black but the chrome look on those wheels comes across as cheap plastic (to me, based on the photos) I have no doubt they are 10x better in person.

Coming from someone who thinks the 14-16 Trail wheels are the bees knees

Always good to see options for everyone

It's not chrome. It is machined aluminum, and that's just the way machined aluminum looks..
 
Any idea on weight difference per wheel vs the OEM trail wheels?

Those look nice! I'm also not a fan of black/ dark rims

When I was shopping wheels and tires I found these weights on the wheels, most likely posted somewhere on this forum.

2011 SR5: 17" Dia., 7.5" width, 29.6 lbs

Konig Six Shooter: 17″ Dia., 8” width, 20.6 lbs.

According to Tire Rack, the 265 KO2s are 44 lbs. compared to the stock Bridgestone Duelers at 39 lbs.

I thought the SR5 and TRD PRO wheels were 7" width wheels. Trails were half inch wider at 7.5"

So these are wider than trail wheels??
