Hey guys,
Newbie question here. I rewired my fogs to my DRLs as the Tacoma owner instructed in his great write-up of having them on WHEN you want. I got ahead of myself a bit and ordered some 9006 style 3000K (gold/yellow) HIDs to replace the factory bulbs with. I then realized the housing is plastic. Has anyone run HIDs in the factory fog lamps?
Also, I see a lot of people doing the black headlight mod but I also see the black housings on eBay for fairly cheap (considering I recently sold my S2K and every upgrade [or even factory headlamps] were like $800). Any feedback on those from y'all that have them or have heard good or horror stories would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance and awesome forum here!
