Amerlite Headlights

The clear coat is starting to peel of my 2015 TEP so I was just looking around to see what was available. I have liked the Morimoto ones but they cost way more than I want to pay but found the Amerlite set for much less. I like their tail lights so I thought I would give them a try.

It took a little longer to install them than I expected because you have to remove the front bumper to get to the bolts. I also took a little time to retrofit them to fit the HID bulbs. With the stock lights you drill a hole thru the low beam cover to fit the wires thru. With the placement of these they won't fit that way so I drilled a hole on the side of the housing behind the low beam and next to the cover.

I also pulled a wire to the fog lights when removing the bumper so had to fix that. It took about three hours from start to finish. So far I am real pleased with the look of them.

UPDATE: After I posted this I see the top part of the bumper is not in the correct position and has a gap. It was getting dark by the time I finished so I didn't notice it until after I posted this. I will fix it tomorrow.

Not a fan of those ginormous white LED strips, but at least it matches your white runner, not sure how it would look on a different color.
