Fog Lights - Bulb type and HID retrofit?

On a 2004 SR5 V6... does anyone know what type of bulb is used to replace the fog lights circled in red?

The current housing looks like it has a projector and I wanted to try swapping out the existing bulb for a HID kit...

Not sure what the beam pattern is going to look like, but if it maintains a good cut-off line, perhaps it can still be used on road.

Otherwise I would end up using this as an off-road only accessory as I hate those on-road glare machines.

Also... any good recommendations for HID kits? I see plenty on ebay but not sure if there is a forum favorite for these kits...

35w or 50w kit? I'm shooting for a 3000k fog yellow.

Google says your fogs are 9006's

HID kits, take your pick. Lots of folks run the cheaper DDM's without a problem, while others stay away from them like the plague. Or you can go all the way up and pay for the pricey ones. I stick to middle of the road ones from Xenon Depot. Never had a problem with them or their customer service. The one DOA ballast I had was replaced over night.

I've always stuck to 35w kits. Ample wattage. 50w gives a little more juice, but you run the risk of melting housings and wires.

But search the forum for more opinions. Lots of other threads on fogs and HID's.
