Foormat Fitment 2012 Trail

I have been looking for full coverage floor mats and all the mats on Amazon are for 2013-20XX. I need to know if they will still fit the 2012 5th Gen
It was my understanding the 5th Gens are the same framework layout ect.
Maybe its a minor difference that only requires a small modification to clear a pedal or something. Hope someone here knows the reason.

I even checked the OEM TRD all weather mats & they are the same fit only 2013 up

Pretty sure the only difference is the hooks vs. the lock thingy. If you have a '12, you'll need to remove the hooks in the floor, and you'll have open holes in the new mats where the '13+ locks should be.

I do not think 2014+ floor mats will fit the early 5th gen without some sort of modification. as mentioned the attachment points I believe are different.

I would look at maxpider from 3d mats. they have early 5th gen mats that fit over the hooks. I have had mine for 4 years and they have held up great through the winters and mud and boots

weathertech and husky make ones for early 5th gens as well
