Hi guys , I bought this product before winter and today I finnaly had time to test it out. Dupont Bedliner !

Pictures don't do it justice close up its really nice and rugged, from afar its not that noticeable. Still I am very happy with how it stands out. I will probably do all the trail plastic on the truck. Mirrors, front and door knobs etc.

But it's unique, and I'm sure it's durable, so I could see how it might have some appeal.

It looks like you went out in the mud and didn't wash off those areas. I am not a fan but the ONLY thing that matters is if you like it

It is basically a bedliner product that I applied on the cheap@ss plastic fenders and the rear logo .....

It was not made for what I did but I like how it looks, makes it more rugged. Now I need bigger TIRES ! argghhhhh

Tar with Kevlar ! Product info says it will be solid as rock, won't change color in the sun , won't scratch etc... long lasting sh!t

I like the Idea of using a bed liner actually and thought about that earlier today in fact. I personally would like a much finer grit such as the Line- X bed liner. I would also do my Trail bumpers too. Its it definitely on my list.

The good thing about plastidip is if you changed your mind you can always remove it.

I hope you don't change your mind because that looks like it's going to cost you a lot. I wouldn't continue to do the mirrors and door knobs.

At the end of the day it's your truck, but I would think this will hurt the vehicles value.

Haha I might also suck at painting lol but I have a whole gallon of this stuff hehe so I might go and practice more.

But I agree it can use some work, there was a roll that came with the box but I failed to use it properly so I went with the brush they gave instead. Also I called to have it sprayed and and they quoted me 500$ plus taxes just to do the 4 fenders..... that's Canadian money but still...

It only cost 150$ to do it my self on my free time.

If you put more coats on it may even that texture out a bit and fill in the smooth spaces. I would practice on a test piece first though.

Hmm, wondering if you can sand it? If its anything like line-x you can wet sand it down and give it a polish to ease up the texturing.

I remember seeing on IH8MUD some years ago a pic of a LC 200 completely covered with similar (somewhat smoother though) bed liner material ....
If you like it that's what matters!

Thank you Antman. I will practice and yes I will add more layers to make it more even. Maybe I didnt shake the gallon well enuff hence the rough textures. Will keep you posted when I do a second layer.
