FOX is a great option for many 4Runner Enthusiasts, as they offer both a 2.0 and 2.5 Front and Rear.

FOX 2.0 Strut and 2.0 Coilover are both Standard Travel, 0-2" lift.

FOX 2.0 Rears shocks have several options in both 0-1.5" and 2-3" lift.

FOX 2.5 Coilovers come in both Standard Travel (0-2") and Extended Travel (0-3")

Extended Travel Coilovers do Require Aftermarket Upper Control Arms.

FOX 2.5 Rear Shocks are limited to 0-1.5"

FOX Factory Series are the 2.5 options

I have a question pertaining to the Fox 2.5 Rears for a 2014. They are labelled as 1-1.5in of lift. If I wanted to add a spring that adds 2-2.5in of lift how would this affect the Fox 2.5 rear shocks?

Would they over extend and ruin the seal?

Thanks, just curious since most people want the bigger volume of the 2.5 but the limiting height is something to note.

FOX 2.5 Rear Shocks are good for 0-1.5" of lift.

The FOX Rear 2.5 Shock is not a good choice for 2-2.5" Rear Coil. Going with a 2-3" rear coil will result in premature failure over time.

A better FOX option would be to pair Front 2.5 Coilovers with the Rear 2-3" 2.0 Shock, Part #985-24-118.
