Just ordered them with free shipping off ebay to replace my garbage monroes and guess what? No bushings or hardware! Even the monroes came with all new bushings and washers. Does anyone have a set of new bushings?

I didn't receive bushings with mine either. There isn't really that much of a gap. I just installed mine without them.

Is the profanity really that necessary?? It's bad enough I have to hear this word used in passing conversations, but now it's in thread title? If you feel the need to swear, please don't type it out.

x2- some people take offense to the title of your post, i for one included and very unnecessary

careful the bible belt is getting upset...

lol....that is all, i don;t care either way we need to respect every one.

i think you can get the bushings from 4wheeldrive store for like $10 check around, if there's bushings there there there for a reason sometimes it's a bit more than just filling a gap/shimming

I guess I could have left that out. Luckily we live in a free country, I know this because I fought for it. It's a meaningless phrase by the way.

Thank you for your service, me personally, i do believe in God and seeing as though this country's constitution was founded on the bible, its actually not meaningless . im not trying to preach to you and im not using this post as an example but its a shame this world is trying so hard to get rid of God and the bible.. good luck with your bushings btw

EDIT: X2. You said almost exactly what I did. LOL

Believe me, I am proud you fought for our country...I wish we had more men and women willing to give their lives for our Country. But that phrase is not meaningless. Bible belt or not, I'm not hear to preach or get into a debate, but as a believer, I just don't care for the use of profanity in any setting.

Good luck on the bushings and washers. I'm surprised those treks didn't come with them either.

Title adjusted. Questionable verbiage removed. Thread about to be locked if it doesn't get back to Trekmasters and quickly.

:hatsoff: wow that was very similar. my apologies to the poster on stepping in but it just felt right to say.

sssooooooooooo how about those trekmasters..... what made you buy them?

.....jebus.....

sorry couldn't resist, i guess we all know now i can't be the responsible one.... lol

(agnostic, the kind that believes, so don't take offense you could be right lol):thanks:

I don't recall my Bilsteins coming with bushings or hardware. I think it may be because certain applications are not model specific, so if you include hardware for one you would have to include hardware for all. Jebus

Well I'm replacing the monroes because the ride is horrible and the driver top plate needs replacing any ways. Trekmasters seemed to be the next step up. The front shock pistons look thicker than stock. Is this my imagination?

They have a nice ride to them

i put trekmasters on my 2000 4runner 4wd. ordered them from carpartswholesale.com. they came with bushings and all the stuff i needed to install.

real easy way to take the back ones off (if you are doing yourself) is to take a big pair of pliers (the ones with the expandable jaws and long handles) and turn the boot until you break the nut at the top (after you undo the bottom nut and move the shock out of the bottom assembly). mine were rusted so badly i couldn't turn the nut on top. backs were super simple. front were a PITA since i had to change mounts due to rust.

did your top plates have a sort of original bushing built in? I ask because I have a 97' but I just bought new top plates from toyota and I'm setting them on the trekmasters but there does not look like there is enough room for a top and bottom bushing plus the required 3 metal retainers..
