anyone going to ride the WW2 plane down here in the south today?

I have no idea what you're referring to, but I have ridden in a WWII plane before--I took a ride in an SNJ-4, the Navy's top fighter trainer of that era (its USAF counterpart was the T-6 Texan). I had my choice of straight-n-level, or for twice the price I could get a full aerobatic routine--I went for the loops and barrel rolls! What a blast!! Got it all on tape from inside the cockpit (the pilot said I was the first one who taped it and didn't puke!).

in fredricksburg theres a c-330 (dont remember the exact model no.) from ww2 that will be giving rides, its a whopping 200 bucks though for 20 min.

I believe I paid $300, and that was quite a few years ago; but I've got some killer memories now that I would not otherwise have had, so I consider it a bargain! I'm willing to spend a bit for what might be once-in-a-lifetime experiences. I'll have to look up the 330, because that's not ringing any bells, although the "C" designation is reserved for simple cargo planes--I'd probably pass on that one (definitely can't compare to a fighter rolling upside-down over and over!).

Yeah? I'd love to take a ride in a WW2 fighter man, sounds awesome. Where was it at? & like I said, I don't remember the exact numerical model to it, it was a C-3somethin I believe... They'll be in Fredrickburg, TX for awhile this next month if anyone is to go for the ride. 200 for a 20/30 min ride, and I think Groupon still has the coupon for 50% off.

That was back in Ohio many years ago--this company toured the country, stopping at smaller rural airfields offering rides. It was really cool--I was the only one there that day, and got to hang out with the pilot before the flight (he even took some video of me as I sat in the cockpit!). One of the things we covered before the flight was the "ejection" sequence, which was basically unbuckle your seat harness, slide back the canopy, and climb out on the wing until you fall off (no rocket-booster seats back then)! I've also taken a few helicopter rides, including one over the Black Hills in the front seat of a bubble-canopy bird, and another in a Huey at an airshow (sitting in the doorway, with nothing but a tiny waist-belt to keep me in). I love flying! Next up is an open-cockpit WWI type plane, whenever I can find one offering rides.

I learned many years ago to fly.. I love it, and would definately go back.. Maybe you and I should invest in our own company LOL :trophy:
