Front brakes?

Looking for opinion on my front brake pads and rotors:
55K miles
Told I'm close to having wear indicators hitting rotors.

Do I just change pads myself? I have done this before but can't remember if I had squeaking. Long time ago.

Do I have toyota do it? 250 plus tax. They said they will either turn rotors if they need it(they do not as far as I know, no pulsing) or they just take any glaze off so the pads set properly to rotor. Factory pads are 60.

Do I just buy new rotors and pad and install myself? Instead of 250 at dealer, I think I would spend a little doing it myself but have new rotors to boot. Just seems like a waste to spend money on rotors when I thought they were designed to be turned once without warping.

I would really love to just throw on new pads and be done with it but I'm afraid it will cost me more in long run if I have terrible squeaking and have to do it all over again!

Any experience or advise would be appreciated! I know this is a relatively simple matter but 60 as opposed to 250 or more is a big jump!
