Front bumper option - 2nd Gen Tacoma fit 4th Gen 4Runner

So this was an interesting find on youtube. An Amazon steel bumper made for the 2nd Gen Taco (‘05-‘14) fits our 4runners for a whole lot less money. $400-$500 vs $1500. This was done on a lifted truck and I wonder how it would look on stock height truck.

Yea - has that high clearance functionality - looks good if you dont mind that small gap. Im surprised its not built with a mount for a winch

So before I had installed a 1" body lift, the 2nd gen Tacoma bumper could be adjusted up or down during the assembly process and I had it at about 1/8" down from the body lines. The only issue with the 2006+ is that you have to trim the lowest horizontal piece of the grille to clear the bumper. Post body lift, mine is about 1" down from the body lines. Also, mine (Luwyte brand from Amazon) has a winch plate built in and is rated for a 10K winch. Cost about $600 and took 5 days to be delivered. Worth it! The metal thickness seems good as well, it doesn't wiggle at all.

Here are my most recent photos I took where I was doing a lot of front drivetrain work, but it captured the bumper pretty well and shows the gap. Again, this is with a 1" body lift!

Cool to have another option but not my style. Looks like a Jeep bumper. I would much rather save up some more change to get another bumper or custom fab.
