Front Caliper Bolt Length

03' 4Runner V8

Changed the front calipers, pads, and rotors a few weeks back and I noticed that there were two different length bolts for the mounting bracket after removing them, they were stamped 10 and 11. IIRC, I tried finding the part # and only found one, is there only supposed to be one bolt length? If not, does #11 (the longer one) install on the bottom hole or top? I ended up installing #11 on the bottom. Thanks.

Both bolts are the same length on my '04 sport V8. Don't know what length they are but I can pull one off tomorrow & measure it.
Are you the original owner? If not the a previous owner must have replaced one of them.

Not the original owner, but dad was the second owner (had ~20,000 miles back then), then gave it to my sister, and now it's mine. Before it was in my possession, they did take it to shops for maintenance, so I wonder if it was replaced during that time for whatever reason, but what are the odds since it's on both sides?

I guess I don't need the actual length, but if you could take a quick look to see what number is stamped on the head, I'm thinking it's going to be #11, since that's the only part # that pulled up for me, that'll be great.

I just looked and all four of mine are #11.
A previous owner probably rounded off a couple of the bolt heads especially if he used a 12 point socket & just replaced them with the closest matches he could find. If the long one is too long it will rub on the rotor. If the short one is too short it might be hanging on by just a couple threads.

Thank you. My sister did take it to a shop a year ago or so to get the fronts replaced, I had to replace it again due to the well-known caliper seize. #11 is the longer of the two, the shorter one (#10) wasn't that much shorter (maybe 2 threads or so?), but I'll go ahead anyways and order new bolts for the front.
