I am pulling the OEM trailer hitch off. It gets in the way when I'm using my Austalian Chuckwagon (modified) out of the back. It holds almost all my camping gear. Had to cut 4"/~10 cm out of the center of the chuckwagon to fit it between the wheel wells. Your tow points will help me in the minimalist buildup I'm doing this time.

I searched through the FSM but could not find the torque spec for the mounting bolts. Does any one know how tight to make them?

I can't find it either. I would use something like this though. I assumed they were grade 5 bolts. I can't remember their size and didn't drive the 4Runner today to check.
