Front Diff Leak?

Hey guys!
I haven't had the time to take apart the skid plates and look but the Toyota dealership that did my free oil change says there is a leak coming from the front differential. They didn't make it sound alarming or quote me for a repair or anything. Is this common? Difficult to repair? Serious?

Leaks are never 'good' but at least you know there is fluid in it because it's leaking. When it is leaking and then stops.. .that's a problem cause there is no more fluid to leak.

Most common leak points are the side shaft seal (where the cv goes into the diff) Not difficult to fix and if you search there are a few threads on it.

It could also be leaking from the plug so you should make sure it's snug ( I think it's a 10 or 12mm allen bolt). Could be a good time replace the fluid.

I though my front diff was leaking, turned out to be that my oil drain plug wasn't very tight, and the oil would slowly seep through when driving and the wind would push it on the diff and it looked the front the diff was leaking. Fixed this by replacing the oil drain plug and cleaning everything up.

x2, had something similar (stripped threads on bolt) happen to me.
