Hey guys
So this summer I changed both my front axles. Each time I lost a bit of front diff oil where the axles go in.
I would estimate that I lost about a third of a quart of gear oil total. Maybe a bit less.
Is this enough that I shouldn't be using four wheel drive?
I've been putting it in 4wd for brief periods to see if I can smell / hear anything strange, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Some buddys and I want to go wheeling tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I should given the bit of oil I'm missing up front. Would this be a bad idea?
Thanks
