Front Drive Shaft Leak?

Hi there, not 100% sure what I'm looking at but I have a leak in two spots on what I think is the front drive shaft. This is the shaft going from the transfer case/transmission area to the front of the truck. There appears to be a leak just forward of that U joint, and another one forward even more where it's bolted down.

Are these just seals that need replacing or the entire shaft? How do I check the level of the gear oil that is leaking.

Thanks!
Reid

The shaft itself takes grease, not oil, and those don't really leak. If excess grease is injected, they will cast off grease in a radial pattern. This is not a concern. There are a lot of other things in that neighborhood that could be leaking oil, but I really can't see what your concern is in that pic.

Better pics or an arrow or circle would help.

Thanks for the feedback. I've circled the two spots where I'm getting leaks (small droplet oozing out, not dripping).

No concern here. Like durk said, it is normal. Just grease the zerks for the slip yoke and u joints so they don't dry up.
