Also, about how long can I drive around with a leaking rack and pinion before it causes further problems or even creates a dangerous situation?
I unfortunately don't have driveway space or the tools here to do anything on my truck. It's frustrating because I used to do most of the work on my old VW Golf back in Michigan, but ah well.
I'll see what my mechanic quotes, I'm just curious as to whether or not I should run, not walk, to get this done.
