Front hitch reciever

Has anyone mounted one of these Warn front hitch receivers on a 3rd gen? Realtruck.com lists it as compatible with a 2000 4runner, but not a 2002 like I have.

Warn's compatibility matrix shows that it fits various years of Tacoma and the install instructions mention fitting it to a 4runner.

Guess I'll call Warn next week and talk to them. I believe the front suspension and frame setup are the same on the Tacoma's and 4runner right?

I'm interested in this as well for my 2002. I will be following your lead if you add this receiver.

I like the idea of mounting a winch front, rear or leave it at home.

I contacted a local company about fab'ing one. You interested?

I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I could make a more compelling argument if I had a few people who wanted them.

I have one...but it's on my 96 so I'm really not much help. It's come in handy a number of times, even without the portable winch that is on my list of eventualities too.

I don't have a fat lip bumper, you can see it's tucked under there pretty nicely. I may have to trim the valance to fit the winch, depending on how far the cradle comes away from the hitch.
Oh yeah, I also have aftermarket skids. No problem there. Just mentioning because I was wondering about that myself when I was thinking about getting the hitch.
