Front Valance Removal

I've been searching youtube, google and this website to see if anyone has info on removing the front bumper valance without taking the front bumper off. Does anyone have experience with this and if so I'd appreciate the insight.

Do you have small hands? If not, then you should just take the front bumper off.

Otherwise there's just a couple of bolts and some plastic clips holding it on. Bolts hold the bottom of the bumper on and you'll need to slip your hand up the inside of the bumper to reach all the clips. There's a fair amount, but I don't recall how many. They're not easily reachable, so be forewarned.

I tried and failed. The plastic clips were too difficult to get at blind. I spent more time trying to get the clips out with the bumper still on that it ended up taking me to remove and reinstall the bumper.

The rear is impossible without removing.

The front can be done, but you end up with cuts and scrapes on your arms trying to fish your arm/paw to finagle the clips off. Reinstalling the clips is much easier.

I ended up taking the front bumper off today and it was easy. Had it off in a relaxed 15 minutes. A much better option than trying to reach my arm in there. I noticed that those white tabs would have been difficult to get out in different arm angles. I thought it would have been a bigger chore than it was, so yes this is the best way to do the task. Thanks for the replys.

I thought for sure I would break some so bought couple bags of after-market from Amazon before starting. Did the front with the bumper on, while it was doable, should have taken it off and saved some time. Didn't break a single clip.

Took the rear bumper off to do that piece as it would be near impossible to do so with the bumper attached. All done, didn't break a single original clip either.
