Front Windshield Washer Issue

Hey Guys,

I'm having an issue with my front windshield washers. When pulling on the lever, fluid comes out of the drivers side with normal pressure, but the passenger side is a very weak stream. The fluid barely trickles out and hits about 1" above the lower edge of the windshield.

My first thought was the nozzle was clogged. I removed the nozzle and soaked it in vinegar for 24 hours and retested with no luck. Second thought was to change the nozzle for a new OEM washer nozzle, still no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas of what could be the issue?

remove nozzle and see if it blows out good .. could also be a hose kink / crush ..

open hood and work backwards from the problem nozzle, removing connections one at a time and running washer pump until you find the clog or loose fitting / hole.

Bumping this! Same thing on my SR5P. Just swapped out the passenger nozzle today -- tho the old one looked fine and I kept it, no blockages or damage -- and I have a weak couple of droplets hitting the windshield, which was an improvement, but not great. At that point it was mid afternoon, I'd achieved a bunch of other stuff, it was 104 degrees, and I left it to Jedi Master Yota.

Electric's good, motor's good, driver side pressure is great -- just no joy on the other side. Gotta be a blockage down the passenger line somewhere, so I anticipate pulling the hoodliner one of these weekends and chasing the gremlin. Will update how it goes.

Otoh, having come from axle and trans problems on my last daily driver.. we should all have vehicle problems like suboptimal windshield spray...

I fixed this issue yesterday actually. On mine the check valve where the driver and passenger split was the issue. It is under the hoodliner on the passenger side towards the bottom. Hoses pull right off and put a new one in. Just google search "windshield washer check valve toyota" and it should come up with a picture to reference. You can get them on amazon or at auto zone type stores. The ones at auto zone from Dorman say they do not fit but they seemed identical to the OEM ones.
