Frozen Calipers?

On one of my earlier posts, someone advised me to check for frozen calipers, which seems to be a common problem on 4runners. How do I check for these?
Also, since I got my 4runner for my 16th earlier this year, it has jumped alittle while braking like it caught at a certain point on the pad, could this be a frozen caliper?
Thanks

I would attribute the "hang up" to normal downshifting from your transmission, or something in the driveline. As for the caliper, chances are if you don't know how to do it.. you'd be best off just taking it somewhere for a free estimate.

If you really want to try, take the wheel off, unbolt the caliper and see if you can push the pad in as Rob said.

thanks guys, but as for the downshifting theory, it does it too numerously, it isnt downshifting, more like a catch in the brake at a certain point in the rotation of a tire

Just an update, I went to a shop, and the previous owner of the car didn't change the brake pads or rotors and the rotors had become warped...I got them replaced and it's like a new car!! Thanks guys
