frozen doors in "ice ville"

I live and work where it has snowed all but 4 days since thanksgiving. temps rarely above 30...that's a heat wave. usally the low teens at night and mid 20's in the day
the doors are often frozen stuck and some day I fear I will yank the door handle off the door
ive read where some people spray the door strips with wd40 to keep them from sticking but I wonder if the chemical comp could degrade the weather stripping.
wonder what others in "ice ville" do

I spray silicone lube on a rag and wipe the door gaskets. Makes a huge difference. If you live in saltville then slowly degrading rubber is your least worry.

Try NAPA 765136, otherwise known as Sil-Glyde. Works very well. $12 roughly at your local NAPA. It works well for my cousin in Augusta Maine...

You can also not close them fully. Just stop at the first click.

I do this when I get it washed in the winter.

Make sure the dome light doesn't stay on though.

You can also leave the windows open a 1/2" so they go down.

^^ Same here.
- usually after a freezing rain ice storm, the door edges need pried open...without tugging on the door handle & breaking it
I also leave my driver window down, an 1/8th inch...so it doesn't freeze shut & put undo stress on electric motor.

Dang. I had my door freeze shut once in Tahoe and thought that was a big deal. Crazy stuff... I live in (not so) sunny California but it rarely drops below 30 degrees.

Remote Start, Leave the heater on full.

Wax has always been my solution when I lived in colder climates. Of course the remote start is also a great thing to have. Just don't forget to leave the heat on high.
