In the OP you said the rear hatch storage wasn't for sale. Does that include the driver's side rear trim piece (large) that goes around the side window?

Yes, all the plastics in the rear hatch, behind the rear seats was swapped into my 97. Subsequently I had a local buyer grab all my 97 plastics the week later.
 
Is the rear hatch you have left off a 2001 or a later model?

I'm trying to rewire my rear hatch ECU to the main wiring harnesses in the rear hatch door it's self, I have 2 hatches from 98/97 4runners that are wired up completely different than my 2000-2001 runner.

If you can take some photos of the 2 smaller connectors harnesses and the 1 large ECU harness too please!?
These items are just under the large plastic cover on the rear hatch door, the ECU box should be orange in colour if it's a 00-01 and 96-99 if it's blue.
The harness for the Orange ECU box should have a 26pin plug and 2other are 10pin harnesses that connect together.

I really just need up close photos of the wire colours of the items above so I can rewire this back together and then I'll post how to rewire/fix the rear hatch of these 3gen runners (as its a common problem with many 4runners too!).

I have some photos on my main page but need more clear photos if anyone can get em for me?! :)
