2010 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium

I am the second owner of this meticulously maintained and tastefully modified machine.
I purchased this female-owned 2010 4Runner SR5 Premium 4WD on April 6, 2016 with 81,057 miles on the clock. The truck was completely stock. The SR5 Premium includes heated power synthetic leather seats, power sunroof, LED turn signal indicators on mirrors, puddle lights and party mode audio (haha Toyota). This 4R also has the slide-out command tray in the cargo area, holding up to 440 lbs. of goods and proving quite useful. With just under 112,000 miles now I have averaged just 6,200 miles per year.
I can provide the Carfax report which will show that this vehicle has no history of accidents or any outstanding issues (including the resolved Takata airbag replacement), but it doesn’t tell the whole story.
I have meticulously maintained this truck myself until the last oil change, just performed in November of 2020 at Pauly Toyota in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The mechanic checked the vehicle for any other outstanding issues and gave it a clean bill of health and a nod for being in such great shape.
At the 100,000 mile mark, I performed the following maintenance:
-Synthetic Oil and filter change (otherwise done every year per Toyota recommendation since I never drove more than 10,000 miles per year)
-Greased the chassis
-ALL fluids replaced; transmission, transfer case, differential, coolant, etc.
-New NGK spark plugs
-ALL filters; fluid filters, cabin air filters, K&N air intake filter
-All new rotors and Akebono brake pads
-New Interstate battery 7/2020
-Alignment
-Replaced front and rear sway bar bushings
This truck literally runs and drives like-new and this is a shining example of how these rigs can run for 500,000 miles plus, especially with their timing chains.
The following tasteful modifications have been made:
-Remote Start
-Bilstein 5100 2.5” lift with stock UCAs (alignment perfectly within spec)
-Level 8 MK6 17x8, -10 offset wheels
-33” (285/70-17) Falken Wildpeak MT01 tires, load range C (First 5,000 mile rotation due at 113,000-yes, only 4,000 miles on the tires) - no trimming of the body mount needed
-N-Fab Side Steps
-Dobinsons Snorkel with K&N drop-in intake filter and direct intake tubing
-AVS hood protector
-AVS outside-the-channel rain guards
-Rola rooftop cargo basket with LED combination flood/spot lights
-2014+ genuine OEM LED tail lights W/LED turn signal bulbs
-6000K HID headlights
-6000K LED sealed fog lamps
-Professional 20% window tint
-Blacked out various chrome accents because, well, chrome…
-LED amber grill running lights
-American flag vinyl C-post decals
-LED amber/white trail lights front and rear (can be used as caution lights as well)
-MaxLiner floor liners AND cargo liner
Overall Condition:
I have used this vehicle to haul my family around on pavement as well as to actually take the vehicle off road for some adventures. While it was used for its intended purpose, of finding the untamed wilderness, the vehicle was never abused. I’m an adult owner who has obviously affectionately cared for this truck and will miss it. I’m not just an owner, but I’m an enthusiast.
Since I did actually use the truck as intended, it has picked up some minor trail scratches along the way. I’m meticulous to the point of being OCD and I’d consider the exterior to be 8.5 out of 10. There are no major dents, dings or deep scratches. There is no rust or deterioration of the paint that I have located. I have touched up a few small chips that can be expected on a vehicle of this age and mileage.
The interior is in excellent condition with no tears, scratches or cracks to any surfaces. It is in remarkably good condition.
Mechanically, this vehicle literally needs nothing until November 2021 when it will need its next oil change. I would drive this vehicle across the county right now without hesitation. The only issues to report are minor and in no way detract from the vehicle. Besides these two things, everything works perfectly as it was intended to from the factory:
-After tilting the sunroof open, when closing from this tilted position by depressing the close button, the sunroof will close all the way, then tilt back open. This is likely just a positional calibration issue that needs to be re-programmed. If you close it in increments by tapping the closed button until it’s closed, like I have for the past 5 years, then it’s not an issue and one I’ve never felt the need to address. It otherwise operates perfectly fine and as intended. The slide feature works flawlessly. I’m OCD and have never felt a need to address this.
-Just as the cold weather started this year, the rear hatch button is harder to depress. It still fully operates and isn’t an issue at all once it’s above freezing. I just noticed that at freezing it’s harder to depress. I’m not even sure there’s an issue but I wanted to address it in the interest of full disclosure.
I know this is wordy but when you’re buying a truck of this age, these things matter and I’m an enthusiast who has come to love and adore this rig. Don’t hesitate to ask any other questions.
