With a heavy heart, selling my 1998 4Runner with the elusive 5spd manual transmission. It took me a year to find a 5spd in North Texas!

I was *kinda* kidding. My goal is to buy another one when the kids leave for school in many years, but when that time comes I don't think I'll wait another year (or more) for one to turn up in Dallas.

If I were you, I'd look at those ones for sale up in Sacramento mentioned on your WTB thread. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Oh man this is going to be tempting...might have to convince my wife to learn to drive a stick. We have been talking about getting a 4WD vehicle for winter, and I really wanted a 4WD 5 speed before I ended up settling on 4th gen 2WD :-/. I see at least one dent on passenger rear bumper. Any other damage or significant wear?

The body panel right above that dent on the rear bumper has a very subtle dent. It's actually about a 6 inch long dent, but it's difficult to notice even in person. There's also a little bit of rust at the bottom of that same body panel. This happened before I bought it and I have no idea the story behind it.

The driver side flooring is very worn out under the WeatherTech. Same with the driver side seat and center console under the seat covers. There is a 3 inch cut in the rear seat that's not very visible on the pictures.

The antennae does not retract or extend.
The fuel door does not lay flush with the body panel, but it does open via the remote release.
Power steering unit leaks
Cruise control doesn't work

Side note: You had me at "ice cold AC". That is quite possibly my favorite reason to buy a car when I browse. I know you are in TX, but here in MN people add that into ads when they have nothing better to say. Seldom to they mention the frequency of oil changes -- only that the AC compressor works

Just sold the wife's car for 7k. She would kill me if I brought home another 3rd gen! She really wants an SUV with a 3rd row seat! BAHHHH! Plus it's a 98, and I just can't stand the consoles and steering wheel!
