Forgive my possible ignorance here; do older 3rd gen grills (like this one) match up with the 01,02s?
 
Yes, it will fit any 3rd gen 4runner. This older type grille works best for those who do the Satoshi Mod. The 00 and up grilles are not really suitable for this mod, although I think it has been done.
