I have a TJM bumper. It mounts on the bottom and side of the frame. Not sure how i can move it up when it screws in the bottom..

Ooh, didn't notice that. Hm, I'm not sure how to make that work without making a sort of drop bracket, but that would probably require cutting and welding

Sorry for the slight thread hijack, but I just looked at your build thread because those brackets looked similar to my front winch bumper. I got my 99 T4r with the bumper, and until today I couldn't figure out who made it. My bumper is identical to yours (with a few other subtle differences), but the main part of the bumper bolts onto frame brackets. I just did a 1.5" BL, and I plan to remove the bumper, re-drill the holes 1.5" up and remount. Not sure if your bumper is an earlier model or later one, but other than the bolt-on design (and mine has a push bar and headlight surrounds) its identical. when I get a pic I'll put one in your build thread....

Just looked at your pic again, and I see bolts up inside yours too. You should be able to do the same thing I plan on doing.

I believe you don't. Only had one person buy a body lift that had a manual and a 1.5 is as high as you can go before the stick shift hits the body and will not go into gear. 1" should be just normal like any other 3rd gen.

I'm curious if anyone has bought a set AFTER they had sliders installed. This is basically the only thing holding me back from buying. Would a 1.5 inch gap be super noticeable between the body and the sliders?

I dont know about sliders but my tube bumper is an example also asaspades rear bumper. we both have 1.5" lifts.

I've never looked at doing BL's before...so please bare with me. I read through some of this posting but not all. My first question is: did you ever determine if you can paint the pucks? If they are black or red that's cool...I'm just not down with putting purple on my rig...that will not match at all!! So, if I do get purple...can I just scuff and paint or???

Next, my rig is a 2000...15 years old...my stock rubber body mounts are worn-out. So now you sale the puck for the BL...when I install the BL, do I just sit the puck on top of the old rubber body mount? Or does the puck take the place of the old body mount?? Now if you are suppose to leave the body mount on...should you not go ahead and replace them while you have all this torn apart? If so...Do you sale new body mounts? Any idea how much they are?

I switched to a new supplier and they are all black. So your fine on color. But if you wanted to paint them. I've painted my front gray ones black and it seems to stick great with no previous sanding. So paint away. Red orange yellow green blue indigo Violet

I also have a 00 and did not replace the body mounts.
You just set the new body lift spacer under the body but on-top of the rubber body mount bushing. When you jack the body up the rubber mounts will stay bolted to the frame and just slide the pucks in place.

So I looked up Mr Roger Brown...all I can say is WOW!! I have never seen a more well thought out/written web page with more info in it in my entire life!! It took me almost an hour to read through everything!

So now I have a couple more questions...I see your hardware is grade 8...but is it stains steal? If not, do we have the option to up-grade to SS? Does your kit offer the steering extension puck? Sorry..I can't remember.

I'm glad to hear that your puck are black...so that takes care of that issue.
