FS: 3rd Gen OEM Red Sport Hood w/Scoop in San Antonio, TX $250

A salvage yard in San Antonio is selling a 3rd Gen 4Runner OEM Sport hood from a 2002. This will be a color match for Sunfire Red. They want $250 for it.

I am not going to buy and resell this hood (San Antonio is a little far and I don't have time to go get it), but I wanted to give a heads up for someone who might be looking for a Sunfire Red Sport hood or wants an OEM Sport hood to repaint. This one arrived at the salvage yard 9 hours ago as of this post... time is of the essense when trying to buy one of these OEM hoods.

Keep in mind that Toyota sells the scoop insert (and related installation parts) for $150 and the heat shield for $285. So you spend $435 at Toyota and still don't have a hood!

This is an extremely rare hood. This is the first OEM Sunfire Red Sport hood that I have seen for sale in Texas or in any of the states surrounding Texas.

I don't even have this hood... it is at the salvage yard unless someone already bought it. It is really too expensive, too much work, and too impractical to ship these hoods.

Thanks for the heads up. I've called about that one before and apparently it has some scuffs on it that would need a repaint. I just want any sunfire hood at this point and may have a source in Hollywood.

As of today the salvage yard in San Antonio still has this hood for sale for $250. They won't budge on price. I was thinking about trying to get it if they would come down, but it is too far for me to travel for $250.

I'm surprised that this hood hasn't sold yet. This is the only OEM Sport hood for sale in the state of Texas except for one down on the border.
