What are everyone's thoughts regarding the price?

I think it’s a lot for the miles. It looks well built and has a lot of goodies, but the mileage basically wipes out any value of the mods. I could buy a brand new TRD Pro for this price neighborhood and for the majority of off-road adventures I do, it would be just as capable as your built rig.

Nice truck tho

I am the wrong person to judge the price and building rigs is not my thing, but I will chime in to say that capability is the wrong lens to look at this kind of 4R build or even any 5th generation build. A built 5th gen will only do a few more trails than a stock 4TRD Offroad and a stock Pro will do 0 trails more than a stock TRD.

The point of these builds (or the stock Pro over the stock TRD to a far lesser extent) as I see it is that the rig for sale here will offer a radically different experience in all driving conditions. I bet it rides nothing like a stock or a typical modified Toyota plus it offers a bunch of added conveniences and unique styling cues that set it apart.

In my opinion the difference is in the HOW, not the WHERE. And it is bound to be an enormous one. Whether it is worth the price of a new Pro that's up to the person.

If someone has 45k for a dedicated adventure mobile, this would be a great purchase. It is a state-of-the-art build, not the usual half-baked stuff. Considering all that has been replaced already, 100k is not much for a dedicated vacation use 4Runner.

For people who are into builds/collections seriously, the color alone is probably worth a lot.

How did you clean that rear differential??? I may need to run mine through your detailer :) (I have a great detailer for everything else, but I clean the undercarriage myself...)

The other question I have is why bother with a 200-series? This is a far more interesting vehicle than a big time nameplate that has lost its way.

Thanks for the Comments my friend. I agree with most of your talking points. Regarding the rear differential, once a year I take the rig to a guy that initially detailed in for SEMA. He's definitely using some time of magic sauce to get it to shine like new. Regarding the 200, I'd basically like to emulate the build starting with the 5.7 V8 power plant. In the near future, I'm going to be towing a heavier trailer and could use the extra power/tow rating of the rig.

First off, thanks for your comments. I disagree about your stance regarding similar capabilities of my rig vs a stock rig. I think what I'm hearing you say as that for your needs it would be just a capable. If that's the case, then you are right, it's about personal perspective for what your travel goals/needs are. Thanks again for the comment.

This machine really is a work of art, but the mileage is going to be a killer.

The problem you're going to face is that someone can buy a stock '14 or '15 with lower mileage for a lot less and spend the money to do the same mods. In most cases, your average 5th gen owner who offroads doesn't need nearly as much as the mods you have.

I know this is a turn key option for a lot of people and that is a perk, but it's really going to have to come down to the right buyer. Which generally speaking is the case for most modded vehicles.

The way I see it is you have 2 strong options here. 1) Wait for the right buyer who is going to give you a good offer (which could take a while) or 2) Part with some of your mods, which takes time, and sell the vehicle for a little cheaper which will appeal to more people.

I believe bcross0321 really hit the nail on the head in regards to that a completely built 5th gen will only do so many more trails than a stock or mildly built 5th gen can and that it all closely relates to the comfortability more so than the capability. Sure, there are a few builds out there that go against this concept, but generally speaking for the 5th Gen 4Runner community, this holds true.

Take this information with a grain of salt, I'm not a sale/buy expert by any means haha. I only speak from experience and knowledge from being in the offroad community for nearly 2 decades now. The only reason I even clicked on this post was because I wanted to see if the vehicle for sale lived up to the title of this thread. Which, it does!

Yes, it's still running the second gen tune from Magnuson. With that, whenever Gadget at URD offers injectors, my next option was adding injectors and running the Ucon EMS system for a custom tune.

I think the issue is your market. You have a ton of mods on this, which add value to certain customers but not all. This is a hard-core overlander/ all you need camper. Your market is going to be individuals who do a lot of overlanding and its a very small group I think that is in the market for a ready to go truck.

Id really like to purchase a '15 inferno TRD pro some day, but personally, Id need the trunk space for carrying things and would probably like it a little lighter/ more gas efficient. A lot of the add ons/ mods are really impressive, but not what I need. A lot of the 15 TRD pros Ive been tracking are going for 30-35k and that would suit my needs better.

No offense but you sound like a pavement pounder. There are plenty of guys that want a real trail rig and not a grocery getter.

He's giving an opinion about the sale, staying on topic and your response is to attack personally? Nice. I think his feedback makes sense. This 4R really will probably only sell to a very small group of potential buyers who are looking to heavily mod and want it already done. It's got way more than I would ever use so if I were in the market, I'd be out too. It really is awesome, though.

No offense, but putting "no offense" doesn't take away from the fact that you're being an ass.

Spot on. Great rig for the right customer. I don't believe there are many, but the rig is surely worth it.
