Make sure you have read through some of this thread and are aware of the long lead times and delayed communications from vendor so there are no surprises that pop up 12m from now

I ordered a rack from Drabbits in early June 2015, and got it in late February 2016. It was a similar experience- little communication, long waits. That being said, now that I have it, the rack is really nice.

I really liked the rack as well, price and design were really what I was looking for. But after reading this thread there was no way I was going to wait an indeterminate amount of time with payment in full and little to no communication. It's quite apparent Drabbits isn't scaled for the business he was getting. These aren't custom racks, these are templated racks and he simply has too many orders to fill in a timely manner. The only thing I'm waiting a year for is either a custom 1911 .45 pistol or a Singer Porsche 911.

I think it would be a good idea if someone would post the address of the shop where Alex is building these racks so that all of us that have been burned can talk to him about getting our refunds. Just so everyone knows, PayPal has a 180 day refund limit. They also do not guarantee two payment transactions so putting down a deposit will not protect you after 180 days of making that deposit lapse.

It sucks that alex won't communicate with those who paid. I was interested in this rack but I guess I'll buy a Baja rack now.

I ordered on June 30, rack was shipped last Wednesday, and I just picked it up from the warehouse today and installed it. I'll admit there were times when my patience was wearing thin; but sure enough, Alex came through. The work product is, as stated before by anyone who owns one, fantastic. Some minor blemishes on the back left of the rack due to the shipper busting it up during transit but at this point the wait was so long that I didn't even care enough to do anything about it. It's just cosmetic and these things are meant to be functional anyways.

I promise to post pics up in the next couple of days or so. No more sunlight and I'm wiped from the work day and the rack install. But, just wanted to give some of the other guys on here some assurance that they should be in the queue for PC'ing / packaging / shipping soon, if you ordered anytime in July. I know it's easy for me to say this now that I have the rack but, FWIW I know that when I read people who had ordered 4-6 weeks before me post that they got their racks back in April-May, that gave me some re-assurance.

Wow, he must really be slowing down. I ordered mine in min June, 2015, received mid April 2016. Now granted my invoice said guaranteed 3 months delivery from time of order. Personally, if I had to do it over, I probably would have went a different route.

I paid in full on 12-2-15. I was really hoping to have it this summer but it looks as if it wont be till this winter. I was really amped about this rack but in hindsight it would look to the frontrunner rack. No excessive delays and no worries about rust.

Only have a couple pictures here. As we were packing and unloading the rack, in my haste I forgot to take overhead shots during the process. I will say that this rack worked perfectly with Raingler cargo nets and it was a cinch.

You can see in the second picture that the back left is visibly dented and angled from getting busted during transit.

I installed my full length rack today. Thanks to all who posted pics of the installations. I did not receive instructions but did not need them. All of the welds looked nice. The powder coating looks great. The wind fairing is nicely done. The fit and engineering is perfect.

Ahh, the wait: Many warned of the wait. Nearly all praised the high quality. I am glad that I ordered and waited and would do it again.

For those still waiting, have faith and be prepared to wait longer than you were led to believe. I bet Alex's welds have become better with each rack he builds. I am glad he did NOT sacrifice quality in order to make more timely deliveries.

The wait sucks but the rack is awesome! I tested it out last weekend in Colorado and it worked great. I put fourtreks hi lift mount on one side and fourtreks axe/shovel mount on the other. No issues.
