Just an update for everyone. I received an email from Alex, he assured me that my rack is in the next batch. Not the current batch but the following one. I am guessing that means 2-3 months. I may be being optimistic about that date. I had given up and believed I would not received a rack. I have no means to recover my money so all I can do is wait. I don't believe that anyone has paid and not ever received a rack. I do know that people have waited over 18 months without a rack! I'm coming up on a year.
Alex's lack of communication is frustrating and the delays are too. I hope in the end to have a nice rack but the savings over gobi are not worth the 1+ year wait.

That's good to hear. I unfortunately haven't received any emails or notifications that mine is completed and I ordered July 2015. Last response I received was November 3, 2016.

P.S. [MENTION=93405]Snow-Jet-MK5[/MENTION]....I'm not laughing at your troubles...I really find it hard to believe the Admin on this site allow this con artist to be a vendor...it sucks for the people that trusted him, because that's obviously not, nor has been, the case..

Exactly. I was hoping that wells Fargo would have refunded me but they said that it was an authorized payment since I used my debit card and that there was nothing they could do.

I have a feeling the low post or newbie members who say "Nice rack, I want one!" haven't really followed this thread. They see the first page with the pictures and price and immediately hit the reply button expressing their excitement.

Before this last communication with Alex I went 6 months with no replies. I fell your pain. I think [MENTION=93405]Snow-Jet-MK5[/MENTION] has waited the longest of anyone I hope you received it eventually. Did you get half refund?
I would make sure to buy with a credit card not a debit as I did. That and I would only do a deposit untill it's ready to ship.
It is amazing that the admins refuse to at least but a note on the first page that warns buyers. I spoke to an admin about this and he basically said buyer beware.
It is nice to hear Alex at least intends to do something by stopping incoming orders untill he can catch up. It might be to little to late, but it's something.

He's told that lie to just about everyone. Everyone's rack is in the next batch or the batch after that. Expect another 6 months to a year.
Sounds like the guy has been "sick" for the good part of the last 6 months. If he truly is sick then I sympathize for him but someone with a chronic illness should not be running a business, especially since he's the only one operating it.
There are two sides to every story but the guy is a con artist, simple as that.

All I have to say about this is I went to his shop and got a few custom things done for welding. I talked briefly about this thread and he has jigs made up to start getting things moving and done. He has been sick but not a typical cold sick but family issues, that if happened to me I would be lost and devastated wondering how to continue with such a big change. I wont get into detail about what but that is the impression I got. Now thats not to say the way he is dealing with you guys is the right way but he has a lot of things going on and I can attest to that because one look at him while he is talking and you can tell its true.
On a side note if I wasnt so busy I would be there helping with with the racks and getting better at welding.

I wish he had come to his customers and told us instead of reading it second hand on a forum. This is a great community. I believe that the community would support him and understand about the delays.
Instead he chose to string people along, making and breaking deadlines constantly. On top of that he won't reply for months I didn't hear from him for 6 months. However when a new customer emailed him he replies with in a couple of hours and takes there money with a promise date or 2-3 months. That just not fair.

Have you even been following along with the thread? Seems there are plenty that have been stiffed by Alex. They have been strung along and flat out lied to. Just because YOU received the rack does not mean others have not been conned. Just asked the guy who has been waiting nearly 2 years for his rack. Apparently it's been in the "next batch" for the last 8 months...
FYI, I did not order a rack from Alex. Was seriously thinking about it but after reading all the complaints and BS stories I decided not to. I'll likely order a rack from Ezi-awn or Front Runner. At least I know I'll get it. And before you say that I don't have dog in this fight and shouldn't thread crap, I don't think I need to be somehow involved to know what he's doing is wrong. I think it's BS that people have had to wait 18+ months for a damn rack along with dealing with poor customer service and being mislead. But apparently that's okay with you because you got your rack.

As you correctly observe, you do not have a dog in this fight. The other people in this thread are grownups and can take care of themselves. Your participation, and that of other non-involved parties, only turns this thread into a mess, it does not help anything.
