I order my rack about 18 months ago, still haven't received it, but I believe I will be receiving it. I don't know what else I can do besides just wait at this point. Ya this is all pretty F'd up and Alex should have just come out and told us what is happening or done something but people shouldn't be just coming to this thread having nothing to do with it calling Alex a straight up scammer. I had/have my doubts but having talked to Alex and read all pages of this thread and I don't think this is just some scam, it's a very poorly run business but I don't think it is a scam. I mean maybe the guy has some real issues, it wouldn't justify all this but...

On another note has anyone actually received a refund when they received their rack, I believe Alex said something about that.

Agree I do not think it is a scam either.

Poorly ran, possibly life obstacles, etc... Whatever it was or is at least respond. Like I said I wont wait passed the promise date I'm opening that dispute and taking my money to another local maker =).
 
I don't think anyone has paid and not received a rack.

However no one has waited 18 months until now. If [MENTION=93405]Snow-Jet-MK5[/MENTION] and [MENTION=142508]Mike Hancho[/MENTION] gets his rack I will fell like its just a matter of time until I get mine. He skipped them and delivered racks ordered after theirs. Will they ever get there racks?

Dude..if you waited 18 months for a rack that should've taken 3....we'll, suffice it to say, you're rose colored glasses need a good cleaning.

When you see what people have had to go through to get the product that they paid for, UP FRONT...in good faith, and then get strung along....lied to...lose any chance of a refund...and see this dude still out there willing to take a down payment for a rack from a "perfect" stranger, just a big enough sucker to keep this pyramid scam rolling along....do you somehow think he's going to come up with enough coin to "repay" ????

What about those of us that already ordered and haven't been updated?

I have emailed you several times lookkg for an update on my order placed and paid for on 8/30/2016. Your email to me said 2-3 month build time. I waited to ask until 11/20. I Have emailed you at least two other times looking for a status on the order. Please advise on what to do next?

I ordered bumpers from Shrickworks at the same time and have them installed, cameras mounted front and back, Icon stage 5 lift, all done. Still can't get a freakin rack or even a response? I'm glad I paid using my USAA credit card. I'm about to submit a dispute after reading this thread all the way through.

I have emailed you a few times now over the last 10+ days to get the status of my roof rack. You received $1027.00 from me on 8/30/2016 with a statement from you that expected build time was between 2-3 months. As of 11/30/2016 we are at the end of that expected build time frame and I have not gotten a response from you.
I also work in an industry that runs on customer expectations and communication. I'd like to know what the current disposition of my project is at the present time.

I look forward to your response.

Yeah, that doesn't meet my expectations. Not that I'm in a hurry, but I did buy this thing to use it.

My original goal was to keep it low profile.

Price wise by the time you add a ladder, light mount, shipping, you can get a Gobi.

Yup, some how he got bumped ahead of 3 people. Clydeepants ordered his 2 months after mike and received it 4 months ago WTF. That does not seem fair at all. Maybe it has something to do with the particular model of rack???

Why are people still ordering these things if it takes over a year with no communication from the manufacturer or commitments to delivery? This whole thing seems absolutely insane to me.
