You can put me down as closed out. I filed a claim with my institution for Alex no meeting the deadline of 90 days. Money back in my account same day and all text (whatever he chose to respond to) and emails included submitted for proof of failure to deliver the product within the quoted time frame.

I most likely will post them later.

To be honest, i really thought he was getting his s*it together since he had another roof rack packed up for delivery when I picked mine up.

I ordered a 5th gen full length with no sunroof cut out. I wouldn't think it is any easier to fab up mine vs. one with the sunroof cutout, actually i think it would be the opposite. No worries buddy. I did get the Sunroof cutout but I doubt that should create an 18 month delay

I sent a payment on 8/2/16 for a 5th Gen rack. 12/9/16 was the due date for the rack. I have sent several emails to Alex asking the status of my rack. I have heard no response. After reading through this thread, I requested a refund (still nothing). I filed a claim with Paypal that my purchase had not been delivered.
Does anyone have a phone number or address of his shop for Alex?
This has been a very frustrating experience

You can add me to the list. I ordered mine in Sep 2015 and have not gotten my rack. I have tried communicating with Alex countless times. I gave him options to refund or guarantee the rack be done in a month just this week when I went to visit him. He was not there so I spoke with his assistant with him on the phone. He promise to call and discuss next day. No call back so I chose full refund asking for reply to acknowledge. No response. Racks are being built because I saw one finish plus one on the jig table when I was there Tuesday but no logical order was provided as to who is next or how that is determine.

...such a sad story. I received my rack and love the product; it is a high quality product with impeccable powder coating. I feel for those who have paid, but have not yet received their racks. I don't want to think that one could take money and not deliver a product in return. I would love to hear a story by drabbits himself.

With 2 days before my 180 day window on PayPal, I too, have requested a refund claim.

The only thing I can say to Drabbits is it sucks to suck.

Call me when the rack is done and I will think about paying for it for 6-12 months after you send it to me.

Actually he responds pretty quickly to new inquiries. It's getting in touch after your rack has been "started" that's the problem.

As long as some dumbass is willing to plop down dough to this guy....it won't go away.

Contact the BBB.....put it out there on Google ratings for his business.....just expose him for what he is doing.

Discussing politics here is handled with a heavy hand, but this whole rack ordeal isn't touched. Seems strange.

As I said before, here is one option.

Are there members local to him who have been screwed with for an extended period of time? He lists Glendale, CA as the hometown. I would suggest a small claims court. I'm not sure how representation of others would work, but at a minimum they could get their $900 back. If you can sue on behalf of others with proper documentation, you could max it out at $7500 (if he is selling them as an individual, $5000 if he is an LLC). IFFFFF he's selling them as an individual and not collecting California tax and paying income tax, that opens the game up.

If multiple locals can sue on behalf of others, it could be a full refund for everyone. If he fails to pay, you put a lien on his property. Seems extreme, but based on the actions he has done, he brought on himself. Either respond to e-mails and honor refunds or pay the price.

I was where you were at originally.....but I think that by keeping this thread open...it helps to warn others of what to expect with this vendor. If it's closed or removed, then it's open season for new victims of this dudes horseshit business practices.

You can see by the above message, once the walls start coming in, all of a sudden he's able to "produce" a rack he couldn't get out for 14 months before.


The best way to end this is to stop buying from him:loco:

People on the TW (tacoma world) forums have been banned for bad business practices (not delivering in required time, still taking on orders, nobody receiving their orders after countless messages, etc.) on smaller, less costly items (some of you may know about the bussman fuse box builder who got in trouble over there...)

On TW, banned users are indicated by a username that is struck through. I am not saying ban this guy, just saying it should be easier to locate the important information that people have paid and not received racks who have waited for over a year. That to me is ridiculous when other vendors will take your money but respond to you and get you your similar item with significantly less time and trouble involved.

although i do love that this dumpster fire rages on for my innate need to watch drama continue to unfold, i feel that alex (drabbits) has fleeced all those who have paid and received nothing.... He took their money for a service he has not provided and some he has strung along... and the most disheartening part is he continues to accept new business when the backlog is clearly too much for him (as witnessed by this thread).

whether the forum should take action? I do not know. maybe the mods can answer that for us... But i do think it would be useful to have a disclaimer on post #1 about the issues located on later pages. Though if one decides to be a impulsive consumer i guess the fault is on them for not researching fully...
