Originally when reading the early pages of this thread this was the rack I wanted. At that time there were no complaints on delays, communication, etc. It was only my curiosity for more pictures that I ventured to the end of the thread and saw the shit people were dealing with.
It's a shame really. Looks like he makes a great product but is just not talented when it comes to running a business.
I'd think there would be a way this forum could handle the situation. If you get your hand slapped for talking politics then why not when stealing money from people?
Do you have or have ordered one of his racks or are you just talking. Politics and vendors? Politics immediately leads to flame wars. This vendor has many satisfied customers (you would know if your read the thread) as well as some that are not satisfied.
2 years ago this was the rack I was looking at when planning my future mods so I've been following along with this thread. Things have dramatically changed and fallen off over that time. Obviously no longer even considering this rack.
I know people will say we're beating a dead horse and that we're only adding more thread crapping but if the mods aren't going to mitigate the situation then I think it's up to the forum members who have been following along with this thread and those who are currently out of money and waiting for their racks to keep the dialogue going and warn future potential buyers. At the end of the day they will make their own minds whether or not to buy from Alex.
Conversely you see someone like Zach Prinsu who is a one man show and cranking out racks for Tacoma's, 4Runners, and Land Cruisers and I have not heard one complaint about his racks, service, or communication. Alex could learn a few things from Zach.
I do agree with your last statement, I've seen people get banned and warned for a lot less.

Now, Here's the deal: When someone pays money to advertise on this website, they become an official vendor. That's it. We don't handle their business, make their appointments, schedule their deliveries or anything else. I have been here long enough to know that being an "official vendor" does not mean much. Around here, word of mouth (so to speak) means much more. This guy did not sell very many racks because he is an official vendor. He sold racks because there were many glowing testimonials and his price was good. People like his product, they post about it and that leads to more sales. What you guys are saying is akin to blaming FedEx Field when I have a problem with FedEx delivering my packages. Seriously.
In my opinion, this thread (and yes, prudent buyers should read the most recent posts) should inform future buyers about the perils of buying from this guy. I am leaving it open for just that reason. Now for all those who didn't buy or didn't order from him: Do not post. Posting your opinions just dilutes the real, factual posts that future consumers need to read. Just "like" the people's posts who are involved and move on. That's why I didn't close it to begin with.
He has also shut down his business until a later date. Who knows if he will ever reopen! He at least took the initiative to update his first post. Right now, he has no future customers so banning him or shutting down this thread won't do anything.
Last thing: I believe the guys who have had problems with this vendor. With that said this is the internet and you know how that goes. If you have facts, post them. If you don't, well, again, this is the internet.
