Started the install last night, I got about half way through a and got rained out.
Here is the finished product

I've been driving around without he fairing on and see I'm going to need to install it, there is a lot of wind noise over 50 mph.
There was slight damage to the rack durin shipping, nothing crazy but just the icing on the cake in this whole deal.
The rack was a bit tricky to mount in a couple ways, some of the bolt holes had to be rethreaded i assume because of just some paint getting into the grooves. Also the front stabilizer was really tricky to get on but once I figure it out it wasn't too bad (if any one has trouble mourning their rack I can give you some tips)
Of course the rack is great quality everyone has said this but just to reemphasize, the quality of the rack is supurb and all of he welds are perfect (although nothing I couldnt accomplish within 18 months)

Next I need some lights, some suspension, and some tires
Everyone will get their racks, this ain't some scam, I think most of y'all know what has happened so I won't go into that
I have no other comments on that, I'm just happy I finally have the rack

It looks nice on your truck. Didn't read the thread but how much does it weigh? It looks well built but man...that is a lot of steel with a full floor of expanded metal. Just curious, glad you got your rack!

It weighs 85lbs according to the shipping company, its an awesome rack but the wait time is reduculous (18 months for me). If you are considering this as an option I would read the entire thread before you buy. I think Alex is finally taking control of his sh*t and maybe in a years time he will be back to standard wait time.

Really? What do you want me to do here? Ban him? Why do people buy from him? I s the advertisements he has? No. Is it because he is on T4R? No. People buy from him because they like the rack he makes. That's why. As far as I know this thread is the only advertisement.





Do you guys think that people will quit sending him money if I make some type of caveat emptor statement? This thread should serve to warn potential customers so it will stay open. If people keep sending him business then those people are on their own.

BTW have any of you read his edited first post in this thread? He shut himself down.

I'd be interested in this product if it weren't for the information available in this thread.

I was considering a roof rack. I heard about this vendor. I'm glad the whole thread is here to read. I read it and did not order from [MENTION=68079]drabbits[/MENTION].

I felt the least I could do before spending $1000 bucks is to take a few minutes to read the thread. I'd say if you didnt read the thread and ordered from him then this kind of money isn't really a big deal for you.

Look at this profile it says official vendor. I don't think anyone has ever mentioned baning him or locking the thread. I think a simple warning to new customers that Alex is not forthcoming with lead times was all anyone wanted.
