Hi all...I ordered my rack from Alex back in late February or early March of 2016....needless to say it has been a frustrating year and I have experienced every emotion that each of you has mentioned in the latter part of this thread at one point or another. It annoyed me that my ~$800 wasn't in my bank account earning my own interest but rather sitting with Alex this whole time - that was one of my bigger issues with him. All of that being said....I THINK my rack is finally on its way. Either that or there is an 85 lb box of packing peanuts currently in Ft Worth TX destined to my address. I would text Alex daily, sometimes more for updates. At one point he claimed it was ready to go in November but then got held up for some reason and then he needed to use my completed rack to fulfill someone elses order who had been waiting (or so he says) and then he had some family/illness issues and then there was flooding in California and at various times along the way there were a bevvy of issues with his powder coater. So believe me...I've been through the ringer with this experience. I am usually one of the more skeptical people on the planet and quick to label someone a fraud/scammer but in this case, at least with regards to my order I don't believe that Alex is. I think he is an awful communicator and perhaps a little/lot disorganized on his end. It's possible too that he was overwhelmed and unprepared initially for the business he would come into which is a shame for those of us who had to endure this and also a shame for him as it seems was he more organized, prepared and efficient he could have been cleaning house by producing this rack.

Dsepite all of that, I will follow up this post hopefully once the rack is in hand, provide a review of how it looks from everything from the shipping materials to the rack itself and then when I get a chance, now that its back to single digits in Philly, I will install it and provide photos.

I think he at least did the right thing in coming back into this thread and posting the update that he did and informing new people that he is not taking orders.

guess I needed to state that I had no idea where I was in the pecking order but after 7-8 months I started to get antsy and decided to follow up with him...often. If it is in fact my rack sitting at the distribution hub down the road for delivery on Monday ahead of anyone who ordered before me well....I don't know what to tell you other than persistence clearly pays off and now you will at least know that he got one out the door and is ready to or is working on one of yours so be that squeaky wheel! Become the wheel....be one with the wheel....

It's here - just got around to unboxing it. First impression is that he packed it very professionally...things are covered, wrapped, secured and the rack itself seems every bit as advertised. I'll have to get it out into the sunlight and look at it closer but I wanted to pass along the update that I got mine... almost a year to the day

sorry for the pics - I know iPhone pics are usually fairly poor but add to that mine taking in a bit of salt water when my kid thought it would be fun to drop it into her bucket and its been even worse since then....but hopefully it conveys the point

Wow. Got it before me and I've been waiting for 20 months now. I find it completely f*cked up that I've been contacting Alex through text, messages, emails and phone calls every single month if not week and he has responded to me a handful of times.

I am completely fired up about this. Nothing against infrared but everyone should know that I have been extremely vocal about my actions with Alex. I asked him to refund me a long time ago so I could purchase a Gobi rack. He STATED MULTIPLE TIMES that he would be giving me the rack and will be refunding me 100% of the purchase price. If that meant getting pushed to the back of the line I would have told him to cancel the order and give me my money back. He texted me last week telling me that he's shipping the rack this week. It has now been 7 days and he magically disappeared again and no responses. He has half of my payment that I cannot recover from my bank or paypal which means I am out $600.

he disappeared on me numerous times - I just stayed after him. I think his biggest fault is being a bad businessman and an even worse communicator..i don't know him and I could be wrong but I think he has good intentions just awful awful business sense and normal communication skills that you or I take for granted and I mean that sincerely

I don't know his personal issues - I believe someone on an earlier post said he was going through something that no one else should have to and he left it at that. But in addition to that there was torrential rains in SOCAL which caused him issues getting packing materials, his powder coater was a problem more times than a few, he supposedly gave my finished rack to someone else (although I haven't seen anyone else chime in here saying they got one recently)...etc etc etc it was one thing after another after another and they all sounded like excuses or at the least very shady from my point of view

I'm also a little surprised he actually agreed to not only still send the rack but also give a 100% refund? I tried to withhold paying for the shipping (another $174) until he could provide an actual tracking number so I knew that he wasn't taking me for more $. He refused and said he couldn't ship it as he had no way to pay for it....so in good faith I just decided to continue and I paid it. So I am surprised he is able to send a rack and not get paid for it.

Man, I feel for you. I hope an end to this and some agreeable resolution happens for you. Best of luck.

Please, anyone considering this rack, rear page 1 thru the end. Alex will tell you what you want to hear, make promises, and then will not deliver in said promises or written agreements. Snow-jet has literally gotten the shaft on his transaction. To be fair, this is coming from a customer.

Do yourself a favor and pony up for a legitimate vendor.

Isn't this guy in CA? I think showing up at his address and having a in person conversation might hold more water and get results. Just a thought.

When Mike got his rack I was felling good that eventually we will all get our racks. Now.... not so much. I can't believe he delivered this rack so soon and neglected so many other people who ordered them long ago.

Well it was obvious... This guy snaked the money and has no money to even SHIP the product.

Again, please withhold comments in this thread UNLESS you are doing business with him. Also, make sure you keep the comments factual and leave the opinions alone. Why? So anyone thinking of buying a new rack can then make their own decision based on fact instead of opinion. I've left this thread open as a place to post FACT about doing business with this vendor, and the fact is some people love him and have no issues and some people have apparently a bunch of issues with him.

So, post fact (like that list above) and keep the conjecture at a minimum. If you haven't ordered or received a rack from him, do not muddy the water. If it just turns into a bash thread then it will get locked.
