This is my uncensored and completely honest review of the Drabbits Roof Rack.

I got a chance to unpack the rack when I got home and was thoroughly impressed with how well everything was secured and protected. Pipe insulators/foam were used on the perimeter of the rack to protect it against scratches or dings while in transit to you. The cross bars, fairing, and hardware box were also secured with zip ties to prevent them from moving around. Unlike some other members I was fortunate for my rack to be delivered with no damages which may be due to the fact that it only took one day to ship from LA to San Francisco.

The hardware was individually bagged and even without the instructions I was able to figure out what screws went where. All the brackets were individually wrapped with bubble wrap and neatly organized in the box.

The overall design and construction of the rack is amazing and his attention to detail is top notch. Everything was powdercoated correctly and only time will tell if it starts to rust. I checked a majority of the welds (there is a ton of them) and they all look great.

Overall I am extremely satisfied with his product but that doesn't mean that I am satisfied with the customer service that was provided. Would I do it again? Maybe depending on if he actually got all these issues strighetenend out. If he were able to take the lead times back down to 3 months than I would definitely consider it. After inspecting the rack the only way he would be able to do lower lead times would be to HIRE MORE HELP! It's unfortunate because you can definitely see the quality in the rack And I am sure he may have considered cutting corners to satisfy the demand but he doesn't.

Hopefully this removes some doubt regarding your orders. I'm sure Alex means well but you can decide that on your own. Caveat Emptor.

Damn nice. Still not worth the wait. Glad I got my money back within the 6 month time limit. Congrats man. I know some people can't get their money back. I just hope people pay attention to the posts.

I had plenty of other installs/projects that kept me busy which is why I didn't worry to much about it. During the 20 month wait I was able to install a Shrockworks front bumper with winch, SSO Rear Bumper, Icon 2.5 with resi and cdcv, ARB dual compressor with Bandi mount, CBI ditch brackets with lights, Pelfrey Fuseblock panel, Metaltech sliders, C4 fuel tank skid, and soon to be delivered RCI skids. The final piece of the build was my rack and lockers.

In addition, my wife and I had our 2nd child last year which also prevented us from traveling as much as we used to. My newborn daughter also took up a majority of my time so worrying about a rack was not on my list of priorities at the time.

All I'd have to say is good luck. If you like your money being held for 18+ months then go for it.

Can't believe anyone would still consider this rack despite everything said in this thread. You'd have to be a grade A idiot to do so. So many other good racks out there that nobody should give Alex a dime. Ezi-Awn, Front Runner, Gobi, Baja, Hefty, Prinsu, Rhino Rack. Need I go on? Hell Echotechne produces and ships their racks from South America in 4 weeks.

I got a chance to install the rack this weekend. The fitment is very precise and sits about an inch above the center of the roof. Overall I'm happy with the quality and build.

It is a 40" Curved lightbar from GG Lighting. The mounts allow me to still use the fairing.
