These are extremely difficult to find so I thought I would post the ad here. I have nothing to do with this listing (obviously... it is a Japanese seller), but if you have been looking for one I would go ahead and get it.

No temp sensor and $250 overpriced. They couldn't even be bothered to test wire it. These are as common as butt holes in the UK. I purchased mine on ebay UK about 7 years ago for 25 quid ($40) +shipping. Rant over.

If you think they are $250 overpriced then where are the FMUs listed for $50? I've never seen one for sale for less than $190 and that was about two years ago. I'm sure our forum members would like to buy these for $50, so you should show us where to buy them for that price.

You bought your FMU for $40 seven years ago. Don't you think that the price could have increased in 7 years?

Ebay UK as I said.
Tons of breakers yards selling Hilux Surf's (although FMUs are not normally listed as they are unlikely to break down or get damaged)) but message the seller as they will more often or not have them. You may have to sweet talk them to ship to US.

No worries... like I said it isn't my listing. I just don't want forum members to think that they can get one for $50 when that probably isn't the case. Getting one to the US from the UK or Japan is still going to cost some money just for shipping and handling. Someone might get lucky with a UK contact selling for cheap, but unless someone has a friend over there these sellers will probably know the market and sell at a market price. It only takes a few google searches to see that these sell for $200-$300 to U.S. buyers.
