FS Knife made from OEM 4th gen Front Springs - $175 - Cleveland, TN

I have made custom order knives for several forum members, so hopefully they'll see this and chime in with their thoughts on my work.

Blade material: 5160 high-carbon
Grind: Flat
HT: differential/clayed edge quench
Blade length: 4"
O.A.L.: 9"
Handle: Guard made from Flamingo $1 nickel chip silver-soldered to tang, curly maple bolster, red G10 spacer, and bog oak for the back. The "bog oak" wouldn't let me get the cool iridescence in the pictures, but it shimmers like gold in the light. This was cut from a stump harvested from a dry lake bed in Darden, TN at the Beech River Watershed. You can see the grain in the sections included in the photo.

The full tang blade in the photo will be complete and for sale shortly. It is also hand-forged from an OEM 4th gen spring.

Bump for one of the more interesting thing's I've seen for sale on the forums. Very cool that it's made out of a spring from a 4Runner. Beautiful knife too!

I'll do that when I make the next suspension upgrade. Believe my runner would ride a bit crooked if I chopped off 4-5" of the FJ springs. I have considered hammering out one of my million CV shafts with split boots!
