FSM For Manual Transmission 4Runner

Does anyone know where I can access a FSM for a 4Runner with a manual transmission? The FSM at TTORA has information for automatic transmissions but not manual transmissions.

I have an ordinary 1998 SR5 4Runner with the 5VZ-FE V6 engine, a 5 speed manual transmission and four wheel drive.

There are two 4wd manual trannys in my '99 FSM: the R150F and the W59. To be honest, I don't know which one I have or even how to tell the difference. From the diagrams, externally they are pretty similar. Each has its own chapter of about 45 pages. If you want to borrow my paper FSM for a few days to look at and copy what you need, I'll bring it to E.C. on Sunday.

Edit: You can go to www.toyodiy.com and punch in your VIN to find out which you have. Mine is the R150F, I just learned.

Actually, the 1996 Tacoma FSM .pdf at TTORA Linky covers the R150F transmission starting on page 805. It looks the same as what I have.

Thanks again. It has exactly the information I was looking for. It was clutch information I wanted. The clutch chapter begins on page 751.

You’ve been a great help. I guess you don’t need to bring your paper FSM to E.C.

you got the R150F. the W59 is the transmission for the 4cyl.

Correct, R150F-A to be exact. W59 is in the 96+ 3RZ 4 cyls.
