Fuel Injector Replacement Question

Hey Guys,

I'm going to replace my #5 fuel injector.

I've replaced by #3 a few years back, but I cant recall how much clearance I had between the fuel rail and fuel injector.

When I tackled this the first time, I simply removed the intake and throttle body, then disconnected the fuel rail at the "U" connected, pulled it up the PS rail, then replaced the injector. I'm not sure if this will be enough clearance for #5.

Has anyone had success in replacing injector #5 will solely removing the throttle body?

I'm trying to determine whether or not I'll have to remove the intake plenum.

Any feedback is appreciated. :bounce:

Just to follow up. Handled this today.

There is plenty of hand space to replace any of the PS injectors.

Not trying to hijack the thread but along the same lines-
Just bought a 1996 and they had a K&N filter in there and wondered if you guys ever noticed how they oil those filters and can they dirty up the O2 sensor along with throttlebody and fuel injectors?
