Fuel level sensor

How many of you have replaced the fuel sensor?
Can you access the unit without lowering the gas tank?

My gas gauge shows full when it is full. It gradually comes down with the miles, but soon after I switched the engine off and restart the engine again, the level now start at 1/2 or so and goes down with the miles.

I am pretty sure you'll have to drop the tank unless you want to take the risk bending the unit to slither it out.

Yours sounds better than mine...

Mine shows full when it is full, but if I hit the smallest bump, it goes straight to empty, with the flashing light. That happens for ~80miles.

After that it just goes where it wants. Usually much more full than it actually is.
